  • Jubilee Wood Improvements – A Parish Council & Community Effort

The Parish Council would like to extend its thanks to the Green Gym volunteer group for their fantastic efforts in helping to clear and enhance Jubilee Wood in Ormesby. Their hard work has made a real difference, and we are pleased to see ongoing improvements to this valued community space.

This latest work builds upon the essential groundwork completed late last year and in early January by Parish-appointed contractors. Their efforts have helped to restore and improve areas of the woodland, making it easier for the volunteer group to maintain and further enhance the space for the benefit of the community.

As part of this initiative, foxgloves have been planted, adding to the natural beauty of the area in time for spring and summer. Looking ahead, we will soon be planting new trees to replenish areas where older trees have fallen in the past, ensuring the woodland continues to thrive for future generations.

This is a great example of what can be achieved when the community and the Parish Council work together. We appreciate the dedication of all involved and look forward to the next steps in caring for Jubilee Wood.

Stay tuned for updates on future projects and how you can get involved!
