  • URGENT MESSAGE – Parish Defibs!

Urgent Notice for Parishioners: Defibrillator Misuse at the Village Hall

We’ve been informed of a serious issue regarding the misuse of the defibrillator at the Village Hall. On two occasions, someone from the Hall has taken the defibrillator out of the cabinet without calling 999. Instead, they’ve asked for the code at the local shop, claiming to remember it afterwards and removing the device. Alarmingly, they have also shared the code with shop staff.

    Why this is dangerous:
The defibrillator is still listed as “live” on the national defibrillator network, ‘The Circuit’. If 999 is not called and the device is removed, it means someone else could be directed to an empty cabinet in an emergency, potentially putting lives at risk.

This misuse must stop immediately. Please ensure you follow the correct procedure: always dial 999 first to access the defibrillator.

Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.
