  • “Strawberry fields” planning meeting 19/04/2023

On 19th of April Parish Councilors Nathan, Wendt, Holley and Freeman, with Cllr Freeman also as Ward Councillor, attended the Development Control Meeting at Great Yarmouth Town Hall in respect of the Strawberry Fields development on Scratby Road. Cllr Freeman spoke on as Ward councillor and Cllr Nathan spoke on behalf of the Parish. Both Councillors raised a number of concerns relating to this project which voiced the concerns of parishioners and highlighted potential deviation from agreed development policy including GYBC Local Plan 2. The outcome was a deferment of the project due to a number of technical and policy issues. The Parish will continue to monitor this project and whatever plan comes back to Development Control. The Parish Council urges parishioners to continue to supply their views directly to GYBC planning department in the meantime.
