An update from Judy Clift of the Patient Participation Group (PPG) from the meeting that took place on the 11th November.
We had a lively meeting of the Patient Participation Group (PPG) on 11th November. We heard that the Coastal Practice’s plans for delivering the Covid-19 Vaccine are pressing ahead, so whenever it does become available they will be ready to go. This will follow the NHS strategy nationally. Meanwhile, flu jabs are still by appointment only. Surgery staff will contact patients as and when vaccine supplies arrive. The system is simple: patients are being contacted by the surgery in strict order of vulnerability. Even so, some people did not respond. It is vital to get back to the surgery – either on line (using ‘footfall’) or by phone – to say if you can attend.
PPG membership is voluntary, takes in different villages and surgeries and includes representation from surgery staff.
