Virtual meetings

The government has changed the existing regulations for councils requiring meetings to be held in person. Broadly speaking, the 2020 Regulations enable local councils to hold remote meetings (including by video and telephone conferencing) for a specified period until May 2021. They also remove the requirement to hold an annual meeting

The Parish Council has chosen Zoom to be the video and telephone conferencing application. Meetings will be held using Zoom and will be open to the public to join and take part as was the case for meetings previously held in person.

Meetings will be called as before but the agenda will only be posted on this web site due to the Covid-19 restrictions on outdoor activity. The agenda will include the Zoom meeting ID and this will allow members of the public who have the Zoom application to join the meeting, and will present the opportunity for members of the public to speak to the meeting in the time allocated for this.  Members of the public and Councillors can also telephone the zoom meeting using a landline or mobile phone.   It is not necessary to have a Zoom account or to register and sign in to take part in the Zoom meeting.

The first Zoom Full Council meeting will be on Monday 8th June 2020 at 7pm
